How the training is structured:
Ancient wisdom and modern science alternate with practical exercises where you get to receive and tune in to your inner wholeness and your inner sound healer. A sacred dance between intention and intuition that opens up to the magic of sound.
Weekend 1 - The Heartbeat of Mother Earth
This weekend, held in the energy of the earth element, we land together in the foundations of sound healing, how we use our voice, and frequencies and vibrations.
We will work with the drum and instruments with earthing and grounding frequencies, and do exercises to regulate our nervous system. When we land home in ourselves, we also open the door to inner safety - we become part of Mother Earth's heartbeat, and from that grounded place within ourselves we open up to receive, heal and land home.
Weekend 2 - The Healing Flow of Water
This weekend is held in the flowing energy of the water element. We will go through sound's healing ability to release emotions and energetic blockages. We will invite the flow of the voice with toning, mantras and healing voice activation. We will work with crystal bowls, rain stick and chimes, and with how we can weave the cleansing energy of water into our sound sessions.
Weekend 3 - The Holy Fire
This weekend we explore the fire element and its passionate energy. We will explore build-up, dynamics and tempo, and work with drum, rattles and shakers to activate and transform. We will explore your inner power, the courage to follow your heart and to shine your unique soul light and let your unique voice and vibration brighten the world.
Weekend 4 - The Essence of Air
This weekend we experience the energy of the air element in the form of our voice, subtle vibrations and floating tones. We will explore how we can create stillness through sound and the sacred silence. We will experience sound's connection with the breath and the life force, and the true voice of our heart.
Weekend 5 - Spirit
This weekend we land in the whole and experience the link that binds everything together - the combination of the elements and the instruments through presence, intention and intuition.
As a participant you will hold a closing ceremony with sound, and we integrate everything we have received and prepare for how we want to use sound in our lives going forward. Whether it is for your own practice or you also wish to share the healing vibrations of sound with others.

Frequently asked questions
The Journey of Sacred Sounds is a sound healing training over five weekends with Earth & Heart Sisters in Kungsbacka. You learn playing techniques for different instruments, voice activation and how to create and hold sound healing sessions from an intention – for your own practice or to share sound with others.
The journey starts in April 2027. The weekends are 24–25 April, 22–23 May, 19–20 June, 10–11 July and 7–8 August, Saturday and Sunday 9.00–16.00.
At Alafors kvarn, Norra Annebergsvägen 98 in Kungsbacka, within walking distance of Anneberg station on the Gothenburg–Kungsbacka commuter train line.
The registration fee is 4,000 SEK. After that you pay either one payment of 15,999 SEK or four instalments of 3,999 SEK if you register before 22 February (Early Bird). After that date the amounts are 18,222 SEK or four instalments of 4,555 SEK respectively.
You get 2,222 SEK off if you book before 22 February. The discount is already included in the Early Bird amounts under the heading Investment.
No. No prior knowledge is required – not in music, singing or sound healing. You learn playing techniques and get to practise during the training.
No. The training is both for you who want to deepen your own practice and inner journey, and for you who work or want to work with people, in groups or one-to-one.
Among other things, you will work with drum, crystal bowls, rain stick, chimes, rattles and shakers, and with your own voice through toning, mantras and voice activation. You also learn to use silence as a tool.
Each weekend is held in the energy of one element: earth (The Heartbeat of Mother Earth), water (The Healing Flow of Water), fire (The Holy Fire), air (The Essence of Air) and finally Spirit, where everything is bound together and you as a participant hold a closing ceremony with sound.
Earth, water, fire, air and space or spirit is an ancient division found in Ayurveda, among other traditions. In the training the elements serve as themes that give each weekend its own energy, its instruments and its exercises. It is an educational and ceremonial framework, not a scientific model.
Toning is sustaining a tone, for example a vowel or a hum, on the out-breath and feeling where the voice vibrates in the body – without words or melody. During the training you get to explore your voice and find your unique keynote. You do not need to be able to sing.
There will be an opportunity to take a certification class for you who want to become a certified Sacred Sound Healer at the end of the training. The certificate is issued by Earth & Heart Sisters. Sound healer is not a protected professional title in Sweden, and there is no state authorisation for the profession.
Yes. There is no licence requirement for offering sound healing in Sweden. As a practitioner outside the healthcare system you do, however, need to follow the Swedish Patient Safety Act (patientsäkerhetslagen, 2010:659), chapter 5, section 1, which among other things prohibits treating cancer, diabetes, epilepsy and pathological conditions in connection with pregnancy, as well as examining or treating children under eight. Sound healing is offered as relaxation and wellbeing, not as treatment of illness.
The research is promising but limited. In a 2017 study (Goldsby et al., Journal of Evidence-Based Complementary & Alternative Medicine), 62 participants reported less tension, anger, fatigue and low mood after one hour of singing bowl meditation, but the study had no control group. A 2025 systematic review (Lin et al., Healthcare) found reduced anxiety and signs of increased parasympathetic activity, but rated the evidence as low to moderate. Sound healing should therefore be seen as a complement for relaxation – not as medical treatment.
